Today I'm telling the story of how Garrett proposed!
Many of my clients know Garrett as my second shooter and right hand man at weddings. We have been dating for two and a half years and I can honestly say that he is my best friend and I am beyond lucky to be able to call him mine! Okay, time for the proposal story!
I was under the impression that we were going to Beam's Rock to shoot couple photos of Garrett's sister, Adri, and her boyfriend, TJ. While I did shoot couple photos of the two, the shoot was just the setup for Garrett's master plan.
I shot photos of Adri and TJ along the way to the lookout at Beams Rock. Once I was done shooting photos of the two, Garrett asked me if I wanted photos at the lookout together. I told him, "not really, it's super cold (like 9 degrees) and I don't want to take my coat off" (poor Garrett). A moment or so later he talked me into it, he even had to talk me into taking off my gloves.
Adri took my camera and snapped photos of Garrett and I. TJ said he was taking some photos on his phone so we could have some pictures before I edited the camera images (he was really recording the whole thing). After a couple shots I asked Adri if we were done and I got ready to walk back over to warm my coat - that's when I saw the box in Garrett's hand (a wooden box he made out of oak wood from my parent's property (swoon)) and my jaw dropped!
